Kostas Skarlas, a well-known owner of Athens oldest certified Italian restaurants “Al Pino” in Paleo Faliro, presents the international uptrend itameshi , which is a combination between Italian and Japanese cuisine.
The new restaurant is called Amaya Itameshi Cuisine , (In Japanese Amaya means “night rain”) and is located at Mikrolimano. Chrysanthos Manolopoulos, a distinguished chef with a long journey through out his build up career, is in charge of the menu consulting.
Toom Tran , a Greek designer of Vietnamese origin, took care of the restaurant’s design combining the Italian pluralism and the Japanese minimalism.
Kostas Skarlas , the inspirer of Amaya, taking this step here, in Greece, wants to combine the old with new and as a classic appreciator of the traditional Italian cuisine, he brings an avant-garde model of the Italian gastronomy, which is also known as «gastronomy of fine cooking ingredients» .
